Financial Interest Disclosure Electronic System ("FIDES")

Penn's transactional, web-based application ("FIDES") for disclosure of financial
interests and relationships related to participation in specific research projects.

Welcome

The Office of the Vice Provost for Research (OVPR) is directly responsible for the University's Research-Related Conflicts of Interest (RCOI) Program. Unlike annual School-based extramural activities reporting, the financial disclosure requirement for individuals participating in research arises in connection with each individual research project that is conducted by Penn faculty, staff or that uses Penn resources.

Research projects include, but are not limited to:

  • Human subjects and animal research protocols
  • Federal grants and contracts
  • Sponsored research, clinical trial, and material transfer agreements

FIDES, a web-based application, is the sole means for disclosure of financial interests and relationships related to participation in specific research projects. You will need your PennKey and Password to enter the system.

Disclosures are not accepted via phone, fax, e-mail, or written hard copy.
